VETERANS VOICES: ACCEPTABILITY AND ENRICHING THE GEROFIT TO HOME EXPERIENCE FOR OLDER VETERANS

Abstract The pandemic helped us overcome many of the barriers we had struggled with for group based exercise. Within six weeks, all our sites transitioned to group-based virtual classes, aptly called Gerofit Home (GTH). Because rapid and continuously evolving changes in telehealth, near daily Veteran feedback on what was working not working. Part this planning included retaining a smaller Veterans regular basis who would serve as an ongoing Advisory Panel (VAP). VAP is racially geographically diverse 12 men women from 7 different sites, varying levels duration participation (some exclusively remote, some in-person then transition remote pandemic). This presentation will feature moderated discussion representatives, summarizing perspectives provided preferences, needs, motivators engage GTH.
